Xavier (pronounced “HA-vee-air” not “ex-EH-vee-ur”, and spelled “Xavier” not “Javier”) is one of the longest standing instructors of the Music Time Academy team – a staff member since 2010, having worked with likely over 100 students of all ages and skill levels on a variety of instruments that he has the ability to teach on a professional level. A seasoned guitarist, bassist, vocalist and songwriter with not only a college education in various aspects of music, but also years of performance and gigging experience across the West Coast, Xavier is an exceptionally well rounded instructor who can help his students reach a variety of goals, whether it is reading music, learning basic technique or theory on any instrument, writing a song, shredding on a face-melting guitar solo, singing/playing for a special occasion, or just building a general appreciation for music.

A Northern California native, Xavier is known not only for his strong, soulful vocals, general musicality and smooth, solid guitar and bass technique, but also for his audio recording/production knowledge. Xavier can currently be heard performing (vocals/guitar) alongside fellow Music Time Academy instructor Nicholas Lyon-Wright in The Dream Tellers, an up and coming duo (sometimes trio or quartet), best recognized by their well-orchestrated vocal harmonies and guitar arrangements on both original music and covers (reminiscent of the classic Beatles sound).

Lessons with Xavier are available in both English and Spanish.
