Stock is limited (especially for large instruments) and we rent on a first come, first served basis (no holds). It is approximately a 7-10 day wait for any instrument that is not currently in stock.

Do you sell instruments (or Should I Buy Instead of Rent)?

Renting is highly recommended for students starting elementary or middle school music programs. Purchasing an inexpensive (less than $300) instrument from the internet or Costco might be tempting, however these instruments do not set up beginners for success (in an already challenging endeavor). It’s much more difficult to produce good tone on a badly-constructed instrument, plus these instruments are more likely to break, and often cannot be repaired.

Do you rent __________ (name that instrument)?

We rent violins, violas & cellos (1/4 , ½, ¾, & full size), trumpets, clarinets, alto saxophones, flutes, trombones, snare drums/bells (xylophone). All rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis (no holds). Please contact us for current inventory, as not all instruments & sizes are guaranteed to be available. Anything not currently available can be re-ordered & typically arrives in 7-10 days. 

How much does it cost? 

The total monthly charge, after insurance, fees & taxes is  $26.17 (for a rental-return “used” instrument) or $32.78 (for brand new instruments, limited stock). 

Saxophones (alto or soprano), wood clarinets & open hole flutes are $44.79 or $52.44 (brand new) monthly. We rent cellos, tenor saxes, oboes, bass clarinets & french horns by special order only, with a deposit required. The monthly rate is $55.72 or $63.37 (brand new).
